What can they do for S2?
SpoilerShow
Kreese steels the Cobra Kai students, Johnny defects to Miyagi Dojo and suddenly a bunch of old students of Kreese appears as Ninjas or guns for hire and then the show turns into shit. Sam gets kidnapped and Daniel/Johnny/Diaz/Robbie also turn into ninjas and they fight Kreese, but Kreese isn't the only bad guy; Migel's dad is the one pulling the strings and the show turns to some kind of B-movie cocaine story and the good guys win.

Kreese faked in death in Karate Kid 3. So I suppose that could be where Johnny had heard that he had died. I'd like to see the Kreese character explored a little bit more than he was in the movies. I always assumed that Kreese was probably once a normal guy until he went to Vietnam. He probably witnessed some messed up stuff that gave him lifelong PTSD and made him into a raging asshole.
Ah I didnt remember that, its been ages since Ive seen the old Karate Kid movies so I thought
SpoilerShow
he really was dead when Johnny mentioned that to the council
Johnny seems completely unaware of the events of Karate Kid 3. Like when the council brings up Terry Silver (the Karate Kid 3 villain), he has no idea who that is. It seems Johnny completely disassociated himself with Cobra Kai after Kreese attacked him in Karate Kid 2.
SpoilerShow
I'm thinking about how a season 2 might work. Kreese might hold a trademark on "Cobra Kai" and Johnny might have to deal with that. Maybe begrudgingly have to work with Kreese again. And there were so many loose ends with the kids. In a sense, everybody lost in the finale and there are a lot of repercussions to explore.

Man I really shouldve watched the KK movies before watching Cobra Kai but it caught me by surpise and then when I watched those first 2 free episodes I kept binging :P

Makes sence that Kreese would have the IP rights indeed. Teaming up johnny and danielsan might be a bit early in season 2 though so its really interesting how they will handle it. Perhaps in a later season johnny and daniel take down Kreese but if it already happens in season 2 that would be too fast.

And yeah the kids really have loads of options.
Sam and "miss robinson?" her old friend might either find friendship again or become rivals.
Hawk either needs to find his balance or becomes a new Kreese. His nerd friend has seen that karate gets you pussy so he will be fighting most likely.
Miguel needs to get over his broken heart but if Sam and Robby are going to train together I think they will hook up so there are a lot of options there. Miguel either needs to learn from his master's mistakes that losing a girl cant decide his life or will go fully dark side.
Robby himself will get into trouble with the criminal element of his youth and they can take his relation with Johnny anywhere. I see lots of possibilites for them to reconnect but life can spinkick you right in the balls and make them enemies as well so very curious to see where they will go with that.
I see the Kyler dude joining Kreese's dojo and becoming the next big bad motivated by revenge for his broken pride. Perhaps together with that popular blond tranny chick.

Whatever happens Ill keep rooting for Johnny all the way, he had a shitty life and is actually a decent person. When Hawk goes nuts he realizes he is going the wrong way so he should be repented somewhere during the series. He is going to fuck Miguels mom though.

I liked how they
SpoilerShow
spun the Karate Kid story around to make Johnny very likeable. He had a shitty life and took it out on some Jersey-punk who got good with his girlfriend. Of course you'd kick his ass if you could.

I will have to rewatch the original movies sometime while keeping Johnny's backstory in mind! I still have never seen part 4.
I don't know if it's fully explained in the show, but Johnny's evil stepfather Sid Weinberg is an "old-school, hard-nosed, former studio mogul." He sure came off a lot like Harvey Weinstein. Probably intentional. Old Ed Asner is still kicking at 88 but looks like he's 888.

Why are you faggots hiding spoilers to a movie from 1989? This isn't CHUD, ya homos.

Karate Kid 3 is better than Cobra Kai. Fact.

Blake Lively's big sister was the girlfriend in Karate Kid 3. Fact.

Blake Lively should be the star of Cobra Kai. Fact.
