That's what's confusing here. They're a distributor, not really a creator.
Apparently they have a division for original content, but they've done like one fake animu 5 years ago. They do not have the infrastructure to produce some 3D fake animu without further investments.
Though if they did that they might face the same backlash Crunchyroll did with High Guardian Spice (aka pouring money meant to "support the anime/manga industry" into some garbage Western production whose quality can best be described as "wanting").

Viz is still a recognized name, they licensed and dubbed the remaster of Sailor Moon because autist fans said the original dub didn't capture the original "vision" of the show, so this fits the motive of the faggots that produce RWBY, since RWBY is all about queers and their garbage agendas. This show was doomed from the start, problem was they hyped it with actual competent trailers that made the show look badass and then never fucking delivered. People saying this shit was good need to be executed in the most brutal way possible.

This shit makes Source Filmaker shitposts look like Golden Age Pixar, and now with people like Glitch Productions around there's not justifiable reason to pay any amount of money for the honor of watching fucking RWBY.

Plus the theming is just basically just random shit done to fill wiki sites with useless information. There's essentially no correlation between whatever a character is based on and their power / fighting style.
And they couldn't even keep the theming consistent. Some characters are just based on all sorts of random crap, from historical figures to fucking internet memes.
