I think they took a poll, don't know which organisation, that said only 3% of Latinos refer to themselves as 'Latinx', over 30% considered it offensive and over 40% said they would be unlikely to vote for a politician who ever used the termDehbashi wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 11:16 pmFunny part is that Latinos, especially ones that live down south, have flat out said they rather be called spics than LatinX due to how disrespectful it is.If there are beaners who support this it's beaners who never lived one second in Latin America like MarzCunt's Filipino husband. They have no attachment to those countries.

Latino and Latina is very problematic for the left. It's just not offensive. In fact, the term is well-liked. They just can't find the angle to get rid of it for a more woke option.

It is not only a hill they chose to die on, but a hill they erected themselves for the express purpose of dying on it.

Everyone is of course soying over the new Spider-Man. I am actually surprised that it hit almost $600 million this weekend at the box office.

There is only room in the SpiderVerse for one Japanese Spider-Man, and it's the one with the giant robot.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 1:28 amWhenever Soyman goes to a new universe why does he never meat Yu Komori.

I'm not. It sounds like a soyboy's wet dream. They have been aching for something not entirely miserable to consoom and hype.
Remember, they had to hold up garbage like Eternals as good for about a week. Even brainless shill drones like it better to shill something that is at least surface level palatable to normalfags.

Re: Capeshit thread (comics and movies)
Guess I mention this here because it's the closest thing to a comic thread: So I read the newest Asterix volume (Asterix and the Griffin).
Overall pretty meh, but thankfully not quite as terrible as some Leftist article where I first heard about it made it out to be. That article mainly focused on muh political allegories (which ended up being lame and much better done in older stories) and muh female empowerment because the story had not-Amazons where the women are the warriors and the men stay at home. Then again the same article drew some weird parallels between Greta Thunberg and that other newer story that featured the daughter of Vercingetorix (which was extra weird since the story was about the younger generation having other dreams than to just follow into the footsteps than their parents, though there is a similarity in that both lolis are insuferale little shits).
So muh female empowerment? The not-Amazons came across as arrogant, a bit dumb and single-minded. The story had nameless Roman legionnaries that wer fleshed out more, and the story would hilariously enough not really change all that much if you removed those stronk womyn. Just another case of modern Asterix trying to push the Women of the Week into the foreground while not actually knowing how to write interesting waifus.
The men that stay at home? Honestly they weren't really different from the Gauls of Asterix' and Obelix' home village (especially since the Gauls in these stories don't actually have dedicated warriors).
The translated names felt a bit off, with the men having more Gaul-sounding names while the not-Amazons had Russian joke names (apparently the French original had Russian joke names for everyone since this was set somewhere in Eastern Europe/Russia). There was also one character who is referred to by two different names. I first thought this was a translation fuckup, but apparently that was already a feature in the French original.

Eh, who cares about modern Asterix? The creators are long since dead.
