Karl Urban was least my favourite part of the new films. Everyone praised his DeForest Kelley impression, but he looked so fucking silly doing it.
Kelley already looked like an old man, properly a generation older than Kirk. Urban always looked like he was imitating his granduncle.

And as far as I know, no one has ever found an older version of any Star Trek script that confirms Takei's claims about Shatner stealing his lines. The closest thing I know of is the episode This Side of Paradise, which was originally written to focus on Sulu but was rewritten to instead focus on Spock. The rewrite was by D.C. Fontana and had nothing to do with Shatner, though.

Wil Wheaton (and I guess the guy that played Ensign Kim on Voyager?) also had one sided feuds with Shatner. Wheaton claimed that Shatner was rude to him when he visited the set of Star Trek V. (There is a YouTube video of him telling this story, but it's five hours long and 50% of it is Wheaton just saying the prase "William Fucking Shatner".) Anyway, Shatner responded and said it never happened and that nobody on the set remembers it happening either.
