Jack used to have decent acting instincts. His decision to play a stereotypical school bully as an eloquent softly-spoken James Bond villain in Neverending Story III is the one saving grace of that film. I don't know why he's always hamming it up now

When within the first ten pages of whatever series of The Crossed I read a bit from one of these "zombies" was fucking a dead dolphin in it's blowhole I just rolled my eyes.

It's so over the top that it would be comical if it didn't reek of the author never having outgrown his rebellious teenage phase.

Sometimes a normal smile in a fucked-up situation can be more than enough to be unsettling.
