Monster movies are worthless trash by their very nature. Beneath even the lowest of capeshit.
See, that's true if the point of the monster movie is to see the monsters fight. The first Godzilla movie is still probably the best Kaiju movie of all time (original jap version of course) because it's not about monsters fighting. It's about nuclear lolocaust and the price paid in human lives. It's about the arms race and how there are no limits to how far people will go. That shit is infinitely more interesting than DogZilla smacking his tail into a Megazord.

When they did the 2014 Godzilla movie everyone hated it because there wasn't enough Godzilla smashing shit and fighting other monsters. These last two movies have both been just about CGI monster fights with the human characters existing solely to blurt out exposition and now everyone hates them for having to little character and story.

When can we just admit that Godzilla sucks now, has always sucked and Japan should have just taken their nukes like adults instead of writing gay dinosaur fanfic about it?
That was never going to happen. Japan have been making movies whining about getting nuked from the time they were nuked until the present day. They will never stop bitching about the nukes, even as they continue to refuse any apology or admission of war crimes. Japs still think they Did Nuffin Wrong.

Modern godzilla sucks because godzilla is a cultural product of Japan. Remove Godzilla from Japan and it's like removing Kung Fu from China. There are very few good kung fu movies that were made without a chinese fight choreographer. Very few good kung fu movies that take place outside of China. You can't transplant a nuclear lizard into a country that never had nuclear bombs hit their cities and expect the impact to be the same.

Burgerzilla hasn't really anything to do with nukes anymore (aside from feeding off off radiation or something). He's just a grumpier Captain Planet.

That's retarded. One of the most important aspects of Godzilla is the fucker is radioactive. His footprints are radioactive. He breathes radioactivity (animated as that breath or whatever so it would be visible for morons.) He's supposed to be walking death. Like nukes, just coming into contact with him is fatal.

Godzilla's radioactivity literally hasn't been a major issue since the first movie and maybe the latest one.

Say they suck sure, but the Burgerzilla movies don't commit any great sins the vast majority of the Nipzilla sequels haven't already done. Most of the Japanese Godzilla movies are just monster wrestling matches strung together by boring human exposition.

They bring an ape to America in chains who, when he escapes, wrecks New York. Not very woke.

While I didn't like the Emmerich Jizzilla, it had a good soundtrack.

The orchestral score was pretty good too.

Though why Roland Emmerich, who built his career on scenes of catastrophic destruction, opted to portray the monster as a frightened lizard cowering in fear most of the movie instead of a fire belching engine of destruction I will never know. You'd think scenes of something mowing down city blocks and melting tanks would be right up his alley.
