I used to go into a really nice bookstore on my lunch break. They had couches in the back where you could read a book to see if you wanted to buy it. I read a book on speed reading and gained a limited ability to speed read. I could go through a book in 15 minutes, and almost read the entire martial arts section. If I found a book that I could study, I would purchase the book, especially if it had very useful pictures. I don't think that I read the whole martial arts section, but I may have gotten close to it.



I found a video store that had been a martial arts studio. They had a vast library of martial arts instructional videos for rent, and that is extremely rare. I don't remember how many videos I rented. Because I don't have a VHS player anymore and they didn't have Dr Yang, I started purchasing videos off of the Internet.



I also have been in over 20 fights, and have massive real world martial arts experience. I started and ended a fight club that used 14 oz boxing gloves. I developed a Batman complex which forces me to fight corruption. I was once a vigilante, but have since hung up my cape, and havn't been in a fight in 7 years.



In college my technical writing teacher called me a genius.



I am in-between schools right now, as I am practicing on my own and developing my own martial artform, Kumo No Kata. I would like to learn animal kung fu next, and will probably find myself in a taijutsu school again one day.

This fantasy shit only works in their heads. Very few can claim to legitimate mastery of more than one style of martial arts. Very few can claim even the one. Most people are mediocre or bad, including the majority of black belts.

Even mediocrity will only be available to them for a brief span of their lives. Physical fitness is always a factor and most people become less fit with age.

That's leaving aside the issue of life-and-death combat, which is fairly divided from martial arts. I don't have any experience in real combat because I'm not a thug, drug dealer or someone who generally makes very poor life decisions.
