At this point, massive outbreaks and a huge death toll are inevitable even in 1st world countries. The only treatment is supplemental oxygen and antibiotics to give your immune system time to win. Without these, you're fucked.

Of course our higher standards of hygiene and sanitation will slow it down. Of course we have better, smarter doctors who will slow it down. Of course cities are going to be hit harder than rural areas. All of this is true but do not delude yourself into this all going to blow over. It is coming.
