Kek, of course they didn't assign Brave New World; don't want the kids to start questioning mindless hedonism. Anyway, is The Giver proto-Hunger Games trash, or is it a legitimately good dystopian novel? All I know is it's a young adult novel that's frequently assigned in American high schools.

From what I can remember it was basically about some teen kid who lived in a world where there was no pain and all the shit and he found some old guy (who is the Giver I guess) and he gives the boy the redpill and he sees the world outside of his own and he takes his brother outside the world and then they probably die the end. So yeah basically Hunger Games.

Because of how wooden/emotionless people were in the book, I thought that it was going a (The) Room-like so bad it's good movie like drama mixed with campy acting but I gave the movie too much credit.

The movie of 1984 basically just shows how much of a crapsack world it is. Its a long ass movie that relies on showing how bad the world is. It is worth repeating twice. Its also really boring, unless if you popped pills like Spoony.

Which of her books have you read? Does she have some talent, or is her work pure propaganda? I'm curious, but not curious enough to waste my time reading her work.

I read that ghost story she wrote. It was ok but full of black propaganda-tier writing. Beloved was the name. I had to go look it up. Wasn't nearly as scary as a horror story written by somebody like Lovecraft or even that hack Stephen King.

So she's a nobody in Europe? Well, I'm not surprised. Over here in America, she's frequently assigned in high schools and colleges and is hailed as one of the greatest American authors of all time, but the people who shill for her are propagandist democrats like Oprah Winfrey.

As much as one sees of burger pop culture over here, you'd be surprised how many of extremely famous people over in the states are completely unknown here. Books by some rando niggers? Nobody knows them.
The music business is even more that way. Ask people on the street who Drake is and maybe one in fifty might know.
Oh and up until Oprah was in the talks to maybe become Dem candidate against Trump she was even less well known. Actual nobody.
