Movie Thread
Re: Movie Thread
Ant-Man 2 was just okay. Save your money. No anti-Trump agenda, no tie-ends with other movies. It was more like DLC to the first movie. A nothing villain who isn't really a villain, some jokes, a few vanilla action scenes, then it's over. The mid-credits was Ant-Man getting lost in a time field or something because everyone else was killed by Thanos. The end stinger was a giant ant playing drums in his house because everyone's gone.
Weird. Captain Marvel is coming out in four months and there are no trailers or anything for it. You would expect Ant-Man to promote her.

Re: Movie Thread
There's a reason I didn't post some massively long shit trying to defend the movie. I'm not going to make you like it by explaining why I like it and you're not going to make me not like it by you telling me it was gay and feminist. ASS at least had better criticisms than you. I wouldn't mention the "muh sjws" criticism against Fury Road if not for the fact people like you always bring it up.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 1:19 amBeing better than Disney Wars needs to be banned as an argument for anything. AIDS is fucking better than Soylo Ren and the adventures of Mary Sue A Cup.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:00 pmI question how many of the people who think fury road sucks developed that opinion independent of E;R and certain other specific youtubers. It's not a 10/10 but it's way fucking better than any recent star wars shit.
Loved the first few minutes of Fury Road (up until the handcuffed woke fight with one-armed Furiosa), hated the rest. It had a decent soundtrack but that's it. Filled with Social Justice faggotry, Max hardly did anything, and it was basically the woman's movie. The action sucked ass (OMG, look at that dune buggy flip in the sand!) it was PG-13 bullshit, the old women were fucking retarded, the day-for-night shooting was goddamn fucking idiotic, and the final action scene was fucking gay.
In short, it was a fucking stupid-ass movie and anyone who thinks it was great has no business lecturing anyone on Judge Dredd. But that's my opinion. If you have reasons for why all that gay shit was good, please enlighten us.
You thought the action sucked ass? I thought it was good. Lots of practical stunts mixed with some excellent visual effects. If you thought dune buggies flipping in the sand was dumb, why the fuck were you watching a Mad Max movie? It's a chase movie and it's fun for what it is.
Not sure what your criticism of the movie for being "PG-13" is about:
I didn't have a problem with day-for-night filming. So many movies do that shit, including tons of movies I bet you love.Motion Picture Rating (MPAA)
Rated R for intense sequences of violence throughout, and for disturbing images
Bottom line is I went into the movie expecting it to be good, and I wasn't let down. I had a good time watching a fun car chase movie. I'm sorry you didn't have the same experience. Also don't see how me liking Fury Road would have anything to do with talking about Dredd. Both are action movies, but they're different kinds of action movies. I could just as easily say "anyone who likes Stallone films (or his acting) after Rambo 2 has terrible taste" and argue along that line for why you have bad taste.

Re: Movie Thread
The reason people dismiss Fury Road as SJW horseshit isn't due to E;R or any YouTube video. It all dates back to this official 2015 promotional article:

Having read that, can you not see why many people stayed away from this movie? Why people perceive it as SJW?

Why the fuck did George Miller hire her is the real question. It added nothing to the movie.

She has experience working in shitholes with women who have been mass raped or whatever and Miller hired her as a consultant to give all that stuff some verisimilitude.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 3:35 amWhy the fuck did George Miller hire her is the real question.

Re: Movie Thread
I find it strange how Fury Road arouses such strong feelings. It was quite OK action movie with some nice old school stunts. 6/10. Definitely not any masterpiece, even farther from being a total turd. It also was some of the very rare movies that used the 3D gimmick even remotely alright. I hate the 3D shit and I always go watch movies in 2D if I have a chance, I don't remember why I chose to watch Fury Road in 3D, but the effect fit quite well to the movie (or at least it didn't bother me like it usually does). And no, I wasn't high or anything when I watched it.
And when I think of Australia I don't think Mad Max or Crocodile Dundee, I think Wolf Creek and Snowtown Murders. What a bunch of weird-ass psychos. Hot climates drive people insane.

Damn right! Our great white leader was one of the greatest men ever lived. He only made a couple mistakes (agitating Glorious Nippon to attack Murica and Operation Barbarossa). 88
