It is a bit striking how incompetent the management of The Escapist must have been to lose both Jim Sterling and Extra Credits. Say what you will about the quality of content for those two, but they were still highly successful acts that brought in a lot of views and were the primary reasons to actually visit the site outside of Zero Punctuation.

They won't lose yahtzee ever unless he decides to go into a different line of work. One of the consistent complaints these content creators have had about the escapist is them not paying people. As in, they were contracted to pay and they just didn't do it and paid late or not at all due to their own incompetence.

I'm 100% that they'd never ever have done Yahtzee that way. Whatever money they get goes to Yahtzee first to keep him happy, and if they fuck over some other contentfag then that's how it has to be.

They didn't 'lose' either of them, they were both colossal dicks.
Sterling torpedoed a promotional deal with Micro$oft on purpose, so he had to go
Portnow, and this really demonstrates the absolute dickishness of the man, did as follows:
>One of EC's artists had a tear in her shoulder and so needed vital surgery
>EC set-up a fundraiser to get her the surgery
>Archon (Alexander Macris) decides to help along the fundraiser, which was not doing well, by offering incentives like posters and t-shirts
>Fundraiser exceeds its original goals
>Archon suggests using the money to A) pay back The Escapist for offering those incentives and B) fund new episodes of Extra Credits. This had been previously agreed upon
>Portnow instead takes the money for himself to start-up an indie game studio that never produced a single game, and quits The Escapist instead

That's hilarious when you go back and read up on how extra credits characterized their split from the escapist.

Archon has always pretty much done based shit. He was pro-GG and probably a big part of why movieblob got fired. You can even claim that him not paying contributors was based since their "quality content" wasn't worth money.

Any sane person would have fired Bob. There was The Escapist, saying 'We fucked up. We're sorry. We'll try to do better' and generally trying to build bridges with the readers, and there was shithead Bob trying to tear the bridges down, calling them all Nazis and misogynist rapists.

-split/second looks pretty mediocre tbh, let alone it being the inferior psp version
-lord of arcana is not a hidden game, it's just a bad/mediocre game
-ace combat x is not underrated if you know psp games. It is good though
-all Sting games are on underrated lists, but this is one of the more known ones
-tenchu shadow assassins looks fucking terrible. Tenchu san and fatal shadows are available to import, so why bother with this garbage trash fire of a game?
-dante's inferno psp is shit
-juiced 2 looks bad, why not recommend midnight club 2 and 3 instead?
-blade dancer is supposedly much less polished than subsequent games from that dev. Even fans of blade dancer will push you to the subsequent games instead
-heatseeker looks pretty bad. You can get ace combat x (also on this list) or Black Falcon instead
