Which is just fine, for Young Frankenstein is a The-Next-Generation-type of deal. I don't think you even see a single picture of Victor in that movie, so your headcanon can turn it into a "proper" sequel.

My point is that Young Frankenstein is clearly a sequel to the Universal series(in fact, we do see the original Frankenstein's grandson in Son Of Frankenstein and he actually had curly hair like Wilder) whereas Cushing's series is its own thing.

It's like an alternate universe where are all important people are female and the only men worth getting screen time are all ethnic. There's an alien menace deep inside a hostile territory and the government needs to send in an elite team... consisting of five tiny females from every race. The black chick is the tech wizard. Portman plays a soldier turned greatest biologist ever.

The alien menace is never explained. She reaches the epicenter and has to fight a clone of herself that looks like silver blob straight out of the game Myst. It's hilarious. In between all the girl bonding scenes she has flashbacks of herself cheating on her Mexican husband, always with black men.

It's from the director of Dredd and feels like a Young Adult novel with cussing. Women ruin everything.
