No kidding. I semi-follow one Tumblr user who’s making a steady living by shitposting about Sailor Moon and obsessing over a lesbian younger than herself. She’s contributed nothing of worth, yet she has hundreds of followers hanging on to her every word.

I think about turning in my dignity to make those bucks, but then I remember that I at least got a retirement plan and a few savings accounts started through my day job. Sometimes future financial comfort is better than relying on the whims of an internet audience for your survival.
