Because the movie is already three hours long.CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2018 6:50 pmThere was more Rey-Luke training footage in the initial cut that never made it to theaters.
Rian Johnson is talking about it in the directors cut dvd release, but why not have this stuff in the theatrical cut?????

Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
Accidentally posted in the capeshit thread. What bothers me about Rey is she's a violent psychopath. As said, the movie takes place the day after TFA yet she's so easily convinced of the greatness of Kylo that she assaults Luke when she thinks he was once mean to him, and the movie doesn't address it then or ever.
And she never outduels Luke. She sneak attacks him with her staff and he gets back up and uses a tv antenna to quickly disarm her. However, she then calls his lightsaber over and attemps TO KILL HIM and he kind of leans out of the way and uses the Force to hover there while she continues to threaten him with death... over Kylo fucking Ren.
Again, the movie never addresses it then or ever. It's like the old EU just before the reboot when the Jedi were all blood-thirsty assholes who literally brought down governments and murdered people of different ideologies over bullshit reasons. That is the greatest evidence that Disney doesn't give a shit about Star Wars or its characters and just wants to print money.

Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
To be fair, having Kylo going to the good side and Rey falling to the dark side would've been a much better story.
It would even make much more sense. Kylo wants to be Vader. Vader started as a Jedi, fell to the dark side and finally snapped out of it.
Rey is a selfish, unlikeable cunt that's totally OP for no explained reason that really has no friends. Like the emperor.
Rey should've killed Snoke. The same way Kylo did, really. She should've pretended to make amends with Kylo and after he leaves just kick Snoke off the throne and take over. Kylo should've gone back to Luke and see the error of his ways, pledging to Luke (who never gave up hope as would be more fitting to his character) that he'd remain with him on the island and basically confine himself there to a life of spirituality to try and make good for the evils he did.
Next movie, Rey is fully corrupted. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, right? In the many years that passed she took over the First Order. They were pretending to lose the war and vanish. The rebellion just thought Rey vanished misteriously as well.
They come back and Kylo jumps to action for the Republic, seeing as his chance for redemption.
The Jedi turned Sith turned Jedi to defeat the empire. The inexplicably strong force user coming from nowhere becoming emperor/empress.
It's like pottery.
Wouldn't Kylo, the conflicted character, make for a much better tragic hero than Rey?
Wouldn't Rey, the incredibly powerful for no good reason cunt, make for a much better villain?

Oh yes this would make the movie better, but that would make the Feminist, Mary Sue icon a villain, and Kathleen "The Force is Female" Kennedy wouldn't do something like that. Agenda before profit that's their M.OKugelfisch wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 3:52 amTo be fair, having Kylo going to the good side and Rey falling to the dark side would've been a much better story.
