The original Plinkett Star Trek Next Generation and Star Wars Prequels reviews were done years after both movie series had ended. They had plenty of time to digest the material and understand it as a whole. They're cutting too much slack to these newer films because they're still ongoing and they think the plotholes and bad storytelling are going to be filled in later installments.

Everyone cut Jar Jar Abrams slack with his shitty Trek reboot and Ep 7 because "He's giving us a fresh new starting point." Except people should learn that Dicknose Abrams NEVER delivers these great expectations he hints at.

Here's a really old RLM video from 2002, shortly after Phantom Menace came out. These guys are just completely stunned by the movie and don't know what the fuck to make out of it. If they would have made the Plinkett review at this stage, it would have been awful because it was too soon.

The word baizuo is, according to political scientist Zhang Chenchen, a Chinese word that ridicules Western "liberal elites". He further defined the word "baizuo" with the definition "People who only care about topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment" and "have no sense of real problems in the real world". The term has also been used to refer to perceived double standards of the Western media, such as the alleged bias on reporting about Islamist attacks in Xinjiang.

I hope the Chinese will keep on conquering the world through capitalism if they keep that attitude. They might just safe us from ourselves.
