BWAHAHAHA!
What the hell are they thinking!?
"Best Picture"? "Best Director"? "Best Actress"?
Is this actually commonplace or is Disney just trying to go for broke on whatever they can?

This is hilarious, but not quite shocking. It's been done before with other movies, like how Paramount submitted one of the Bayformers movies for "Best Picture." Let's see this list...Tony Schiavone wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2018 1:57 pmhttp://www.waltdisneystudiosawards.com/ ... -last-jedi

1. Best Picture; Holy mother of fuck, no.
2. Best Director; Regardless of the quality of his prior work, hell no.
3. Best Adapted Screenplay; Is this some kind of joke?
4. Best Actor; Character assassination =/= good acting nor good writing.
6. Best Actress; God no.
7. Best Supporting Actor; They were all terrible and boring.
8. Best Supporting Actress; See #5.
9. Best Cinematography; Possibly, but there were movies that did it better this year.
10. Best Film Editing; Considering how sloppy the pacing between subplots turned out, not a chance.
11. Best Production Design; Meh. Not sure how Snoke's autistically red throne room would count as "subtlety" though.
12. Best Costume Design; Most of the costumes looked kinda boring in this movie.
13. Best Makeup and Hairstyling; How would Vice-Admiral Danger Hair's....."danger hair" even get a pass?
14. Best Sound Mixing; Possibly.
15. Best Sound Editing; Again, possibly.
16. Best Visual Effects; Maybe, though this film may have had more CGI than TFA.
15. Best Original Score; I could see this happening (at least as a nomination). It was notably more memorable than TFA's nonexistent soundtrack.

Marketing, now they can slap some award shit on every press release and force entertainment writers to act like this is anything serious. Outside the internet I've never heard anyone talk about those video game awards, I can only assume this "award" has even less visibility.

Maybe Mark I guess. He tried his damnedest to save that sinking ship.
They could also try the sympathy thing with Carrie Fisher, I guess... but...
...yeah.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote:Friday's early box-office results have The Last Jedi clearly losing to local comedy The Ex-File 3: The Return of the Exes. As of 4:30 pm, Beijing time, The Last Jedi had earned approximately $5 million (33 million RMB) compared to Ex-Files 3's $11.6 million (75 million RMB), according to data from mobile ticketing service Maoyan.
The results came despite The Last Jedi getting substantially more screens — approximately a 35.6 percent share of all Chinese screens compared to Ex-File's 32.3 percent (again, as of 4:30 pm Friday). And adding insult to injury: Ex-File opened in China a full week ago.

Dafuq are these Disney Awards, anyways? Is that the Mouse masturbating to itself?
(And I'll assume The Last Jedi will lose in most categories to whatever Marvel flicks they made in the same time frame. I have a hunch.)

Turns out you can't pander to the Chinese with a obese mangirl that risks her comrades' lifes for a potential interracial relationship.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2018 3:55 pmEDIT: TLJ tanks in China.

Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.
