I never get the sense that most black liberals actually want to improve anything. What they want is power, which is understandable, and they do have power (the Democratic party can't win an election without them for one thing), but the source of that power is "oppression".

They love that oppression and will not let go of it no matter how much black peoples' lives and opportunities improve over time. No rational person supports this childish idea of reparations (some big slavery apology check given to every black American, I guess?) because it's obvious that it, or anything else, will never be enough.

Nothing will ever get Amanda Seales, and others like her, to one day admit that the US isn't so bad, or at least it's no worse to her than it is to anyone else.
