The word "nigger" isn't all that rare in literature, but it doesn't come up in songs by white people very often. And I'm not counting aggressively racist stuff like Johnny Rebel, but rather songs that use it as merely a colorful word to denote a low-status person.

Even in NSBM or Death Metal by openly racist bands like Arghoslent you hear the word said either never or extremely rarely.
It's considered bad form and only ever really funny if used very sparingly.
For Arghoslent I only know them to use it in a single song and there the title itself is way funnier itself being "Quelling the Simian Surge".

Uncle Ruckus is right about it being much more amusing to change it up and call them "vine swingers", "porch monkeys" or "jiggaboos". After all, for something to be funny it needs to be surprising as well. It's just not surprising when an openly racist RAC or NSBM band uses our word.
Niggers themselves however don't care about cleverness in any walk of life. Thus the heavy usage.

The absolute insecurity of these monkey people. I've never heard any slur for whites that I ever even remotely got offended by. Oh, "cumskin" you say? Doesn't hit as an insult when I know you wished you where white instead. Because we both know that it always depends on who said it.

You don't get mad at blacks saying "nigger" because you know they are your equals. I don't get mad at you calling me whatever because you're my inferior. But you still have to give "nigger" back. It's our word.
