Didn't know where to put it, it's not really a complaint, nor a non-complaint, just something how life goes, and I'm actually looking forward to it, in an anxious-yet-relieved kind of way.

Tomorrow is my last 'workday' at the company I was at for 13 years. Started as just a temporary gig because it's easy money if you're not actually retarded as a customer service phone drone. Got my own teams of always-fluctuating spergs under me (hence my interest at sperging out on vidyamusic during my idle time), but even as key account manager and member of the worker's council it's a dead-end working for (((the man)))*, i.e. big globofags that source out their own customer support to the lowest bidder, which will be outsourced to AI in the next two years anyway (I would know, I was asked to train the algorithm replacing us).

*not even that directly, but getting pimped out by a customer service provider, who works for (((them))).

Company was fine until last year, where they got bought out by one of the murrican customer support overlords, and needed to cut the fat since they overspent and the stock did one of those horny-eagle-death spirals. Tried to enforce some of their retarded overseas ethics guidelines that doesn't translate well with the Betriebsverfassungsgesetz and tried their hands in union busting and kicking out all employees that still held on to an old contract from before the Coof, meaning they had to provide office space even with home office equipment.

Boring story short, me and everyone from the union took our leave after striking a deal of receiving a severance package of two months salary for every employed year (going rate at labor court is roughly one month for every year when fending for yourself). So yeah, I got lazy over the years, because it was cushy and piss-easy.

Also started keto and bodyweight-training again in January, halfway down to my former 200lbs from 250, shit couldn't go on like that anymore, I was wheezing from changing tires, fuck that.

I've never tried keto myself, but intermittent fasting has worked really well for me. When I first started, I dropped nearly 15 kilos in the first six months. What's nice is that it's actually something you can stick with long-term. I don't think I'd last long on a keto diet, but my body adjusted to IF way faster than I expected. I used to be evening snacker and the idea of not eating at evenings felt really dreary at first. But after a week or two, I was totally used to the new routine and eating in the evening started to feel even kind of odd.

Incidentally, I'll quit my current job tomorrow. I was a bit pissed off a few months ago, saw something better, applied for it and got the job. So I'll do something else pretty soon as well.

I'm doing a mix of fasting and keto, people say they get tired of bacon & eggs, but I don't mind monotony, and I switch it up with salmon and cream spinach plus leek soup with ground beef.

Got a new job offer from a good fried of mine, and I'm really glad that it's the opposite of customer support, being a construction company. Another bonus is I already go to a private air gun shooting range with his boss.

Incomprehensible. There's an old bunny farmer I know from when we had a store. He'd get all the leftover vegetable greens like from carrots and lettuce for the bunnies.
He always had bacon and eggs on Sunday for breakfast and swore that when he retires he'll make every day a Sunday.

For years now, since retirement, every morning he has bacon and eggs. He never tires of it. It's good for you as well. He survived his wife.

Eggs are delicious and can be prepared so many different ways. I like a fried egg where the yolk has been solidified just enough that it won't run everywhere when pierced, but it's still gooey in the center. The best way I found to do this is fry one side and then turn the burner off, flip the egg and let it sit while the pan cools. The hot pan will cook it the rest of the way. I'm sure there are better ways to fry eggs but this gets mine how I like them with very little effort.

Keto and intermittent fasting complement each other well. Fat and protein-heavy foods digest slower than carbs and are more satiating. If you eat rice or pasta or carb-heavy vegetables for lunch, you're going to be hungry again in 5-6 hours. If you eat eggs and a steak, you might not need any more food the whole day. I often don't, at least. You feel full longer and most people will have more energy, as well.

When I'm off keto, as I am now, I'm more sluggish. I need to get back on it.

I'm sure there are better ways to fry eggs but this gets mine how I like them with very little effort.

In restaurants they put a teaspoon of water in the pan when nearing ready and put a lid on the pan. The steam will cook the egg.

I don't do that. I'm now firmly in the camp of rather having it too liquid than too solid. One day I will leave my cookie cutter days entirely behind like Big Lenny and just eat whole raw eggs.
