Chiwetel Ejiofor and Cristin Milioti are reportedly in talks to star in a feature-length adaptation of The Backrooms.

According to Deadline, there is no word yet on what characters they would be playing or what the plot of the film would be - despite it being in the works for some two years now.

The Backrooms is a Creepypasta that became popular online after a photo of a HobbyTown (a dying American retail chain) being renovated was posted to 4Chan in 2019. The yellow tint of the photo, moist-looking carpet, strange wallpaper, overall emptiness, and fluorescent lighting make for a strangely unnerving photo - which in turn inspired the creation of Kane Parsons' viral Youtube series The Backrooms (as well as the offices of Lumon in Severance).

I actually liked the story too. It would have been easy enough to translate, decide who lives and who dies ahead of time. Can’t have that though. That makes too much sense.

Walking sims need to be remade as real movies/series so we can replace the 3D models with fugly actors.

Speaking of, it's as hilarious as it is predictable that views for TLOU season 2 have tanked because they couldn't wait to adapt the most famous golfing scene in video game history.
On top of once again losing everyone's favorite character, viewers now have to deal exclusively with that weird actress from GoT who somehow ages even more slowly than Greta Thunberg.

That trailer sums up everything the walking sim is about.
How are they going to stretch those 2 minutes into an hour and a half (more than the average time required to beat the game)?
Some retarded subplot about the train station/subway being cursed/haunted?

Tobe Fair, the models in Until Dawn were already ugly Mocaps of actors who were at least 10 years too old for their roles.
It was a slasher with werewolves-like monsters, i assume the movie is the equivalent of Doom with the Rock.
