Our monthly natural gas bill was unusually high this month. I cannot account for this, since we barely ran the heaters in the house the last month, and we even have an electric stove. Is it possible we have a gas leak, or is there something I haven't considered?

Obviously neither Miles or I can smell any kind of gas leak, but I can't think of any other explanation for this spike in usage. We've called the gas company for a safety check of the house, so we'll see.

A safety check revealed *no leaks* in the house. I suppose that's good news, but the bad news is that I still can't account for the high bill. I'll have to call customer service in the morning and see if they have an explanation for it.
