For my money, his weak link is probably when they give him a love interest that isn’t serving as a beard. He works best as asexual action man.

Yeah, Netflixvania failed hard at that, the demons looked generic as fuck (coming from a series with an amazing bestiary) and Slogra and Gaibon made an appearance as cannon fodder.

This is the guy who tried to make Pokémon and Voltage Vengerz dark and gritty, the only good thing I can really say he’s done is produce Dredd.

It’s not a “this murdered my childhood” situation or anything. It just bugs me know that this will be a mark on DMC, plebs will think this is what DMC is, and they could have people with talent making an actual good series.

The DMC series itself is that mark. 2 was shitgarbage and the Donte one was the scum of that.
Crapcom sit on golden IPs so strong not even their valiant efforts to fuck themselves over haven't worked. But it's sure as shit nor for a lack of trying.
