To the surprise of absolutely no one, this shit is worse than vanilla Skyrim.
Same boring combat and "bosses" that are just damage sponges, the world looks like pride parade vomit, the god awful NPCs are all immortal, you can't even knock objects off a table with your attacks.
Illusion of choice? This garbage has illusion of towns; most buildings are just decorations with fake doors.
Even in TES Arena you could enter every building in the game, if you were not invited in it you could still pick the lock or destroy the door.

Outer Worlds was shit. I knew from the first trailer release it would be garbage and it was.

Even on the base gameplay level, IF we forget about wokeshit, it's still a much worse version of New Vegas.

I should probably mention that New Vegas was hardly a conservative game in the first place, but Outer Worlds is much less subtle.

Most quests in The Outer Worlds have one "optimal" ending where you make everyone happy except the ebil huwhite industrialist (if applicable.)

There are no romance options for the player.

The primary romance experienced in the game is between an asexual autistic lesbian and another lesbian. Your role is the wingman. Enjoy.

Other companions in the game (Parvati is one of the ones who gets more screen time) range from underdeveloped to just shit. The best one is probably the cleaning robot who has been reprogrammed as a murder machine. Which isn't a particularly novel concept but at least he has a fun time.

I think damn near every character is gay or trans or black. The funny thing is New Vegas never made a big deal about that shit and still had diversity in it. They were less obnoxious about it though.

Gameplay-wise, the level range is low but still high enough to be annoying. Weapons get outleveled in a couple levels unless you pump upgrade points into them to keep them leveled. Many of the weapon types are a pain in the ass to use, in the name of being quirky. You won't know what weapons are worth spending your limited upgrade resources to keep current. New Vegas fixed this problem by not having such a thing as levels on weapons.

Combat is just VATS+FPS but shittier.

The game is short as fuck too, even with the two dlcs that add gameplay.

I wouldn't give it that much credit.being woke garbage and having an undifferentiated, gay story isn't the biggest problem.
Even mechanically it's far inferior to New Vegas or even any Elder Scrolls game.
