Nuh uh. The DM can always punish you with an alignment change if he deems your character's mannes too out-of-alignment.
Especially if you're a Paladin.

Paladins Falling for the capricious nature of the DM is par for the course though. If you are thick enough to roleplay Lawful Stupid Class then you deserve what you get. Even in the D&D video games like Baldur's Gay 2, it is hilariously easy to lose your Paladin or Ranger powers for no reason other than the game's spite. Example: Get attacked in the city. Enemy casts Chaos (save at -4) at your party. You fail your save and your chaosed PC immediately attacks an innocent bystander NPC. You instantly Fall and lose all your Paladin/Ranger shit. Hope you saved recently!

Rurouni Kenshin, yeah. Main character is 28. Female love interest is 16-17. Basically Phil and PandaREE age difference. Wouldn't be notable in a historical story normally (like a novel), but is suspicious for shounen manga where the ages tend to be much closer (and male protagonist younger.)
