I found the books super boring shite. I guess I was just too old at 18. Didn't care for the movies either.

Is it? It's
successful but is it good? I get that not everyone had read Brave New World by that point in their life or even LOTR. But I can power through absolute shittastic garbage out of spite.
I didn't manage to stick with the first book despite being bedridden with a stomach flu at the time. It was just
that...not even boring. Benign? Irrelevant? Not even the curiosity of "knowing what the hype is about" made me stick with it.
No ill will, no hate. Just ultimate boredom, closing the book shut and being perfectly fine on instead focusing on having violent diarrhea and puking to look forward to that day.

other genre offerings like Hunger Games or - Heaven forbid - Divergent...
Or if you want something actually Harry-Potter-esque there's House of Night aka Vampire Hogwarts. That one's so bad it didn't even get a single movie.

While what I've seen of the movies looks dumber, I'm not convinced the Hunger Gayms are worse books.
Cartoonish villains being delighted about being evil is funny and I find the premise hilarious. I'd send those poorfags into the arena as well.

Nah, it's Battle Royal for faggots. Even post-imperial Japan haters like me knew Battle Royal since my teens.
