I know you're just memeing, but all syrup in the USA is corn syrup unless specifically labeled. You wouldn't encounter real maple syrup or any other variety of natural syrup in an American restaurant or shop that wasn't labeled as a "luxury" alternative. Aunt Jemima? HFCS.

HFCS is the USA's chief domestic food product.

Edit: I did a quick search and it sounds like HFCS is also one of our very common export items. The largest importer of HFCS is Mexico, which explains why they're all so fat.

I worked in a breakfast and lunch restaurant a long time ago that used real maple syrup, which is noticeably less thick and heavy than the likes of Aunt Jemima. Bringing this back to race, in the catalog of random memories that stick in my head for reasons that I can't explain is a fat, disappointed black woman who came to the restaurant and did not like it. "I'mma need a lot more syrup because this stuff y'all got is VERY WATERY", she said.

Meanwhile, I found that the "watery" real maple syrup absorbed itself in pancakes better so I used LESS of it than the corn syrup stuff. Just a little bit flavored it perfectly.
