Blob probably has to cut every nanosecond of him gasping for air 'cause he's a fat fuck.

MovieBlob all but directly states that you should stop thinking and consume product  Also how is "But what if he's in shape for his species HMMM?!" supposed to work here? If this guy is supposed to be an alien he's the most human-looking alien in all of Star Wars.

Of course the replies aren't much smarter. Can't argue with that :o

His videos are 10 hours long before editing then.

>nerds aren't pedantic about sci-fi settings
>lol just make stuff up to fit idiotic writing

Blob couldn't know the first thing about being a nerd. He's never been knowledgeable in any academic field.
It's really tragic that he was born too early for "body positivity" to be an official course in his school days. Could've become a professor in that field.
>soy wars is for nerds
That went out of the window a long time ago. The deathknell was when they introduced bombers throwing free fall bombs in space.
>implying the guy wanted an explanation for the lard jedi
>not getting that he's just pointing at the woke inclusion crap for a laugh

It's fitting for Blob to defend Disney yet again. He guzzles at the teat of megacorporations. The more slop they churn out, the faster he gobbles it down. They can't run those assembly lines fast enough!

In a way, I agree with Blob. I wouldn't think anything of a fat Jedi if I was watching a Star Wars thing. I mean, the hook with Yoda way back in 1980 is that he looks nothing like what Luke expects. Along with that is the implication that Jedi come in all shapes and sizes.

Is Blob right about "nerds", though? It depends on what you mean by "nerd". If you're a nerd about anything that resembles accuracy in science, Star Wars has been bullshit since the beginning. My reaction to anyone complaining about an obese Jedi is "You're JUST NOW noticing that Star Wars makes no sense??"

Harlan Ellison wrote one of the few negative reviews of the original "Star Wars" movie from way back. I have a nostalgic, sentimental attachment to the OG trilogy, but I still love Ellison's review. Summary: All of Lucas"s sins, from the cliched characters to the lack of interest in science (explosion sounds in outer space) to a story that is eons behind fantasy/cosmic/speculative literature of the day, add up to a much bigger sin of making audiences dumber. Ellison is repulsed by adults who stay arrested in childish states and he could see that happening in the frenzy around "Star Wars" even way back in the 1970s.

Fast forward to today where grown men on YouTube rant about movies in front of a backdrop of their action figure collection.

The fat Jedi is one of the less retarded things in the show. You also have:
>Lesbian communist space witches who immaculate conception twins through the Force Thread
>Good and evil twins who have never seen each other for years yet still have the exact same hairstyle or the plot can't happen
>Fires in space
>Stone castles that burn down like they were made of newspapers and gasoline
>Jedi who has been meditating for years to create an impenetrable force field around him is assassinated by giving him a cup of poison and he just drinks it.
>Clunky dialogue that explains things that just happened or spells things out to the audience like they were 5.
>Jedi in Asoka surviving being run through with a lightsaber vs one in The Acolyte dying from a tiny metal dagger.
>Sith lord in helmet saying "Neither steel nor laser can kill the Jedi"

Even if this was completely separate from Star Wars the show makes no sense. Meanwhile Blob scarfs it all down like a small amount of McDonald's and handwaves everything by saying it's a kids show about space wizards and you should make up headcanons to fix the shitty plot.

You might argue that this harkens back to Kung Fu / Wuxia stories where you really can't identify a Kung Fu master by looks alone, but the Star Wars never actually played with this context outside of Yoda.
Is Blob right about "nerds", though?
Not really. If anything nerds are highly autistic about the lore making sense.
Which is also the reason why corporations antagonize established fanbases at every opportunity.

Also
>Lesbian communist space witches who preach that their superior interpretation of the Force is not a weapon, yet use it as a weapon at the slightest provocation

Also 10bux that the Sith Lord is one of the Lesbian communist space witch mothers, and that the good and evil twin are actually swapped.

For a long time the best character in SF4 was Rufus. Check and mate. Fat power on the rise!

There was a real-life fat kung fu action star. His name was Sammo Hung. But the thing about Sammo is he was one of those chinese opera guys who used to be thin and still knew how to move his body after he got fat.

I assume SF4 Rufus was a reference to Sammo, considering Rufus is also a kung fu guy and I think there was some story bit about Rufus being thin at one point.

Harlan Ellison is an interesting dude. He shits on everything, including the fantastic Boy And His Dog movie adaptation. But one can't fault his creativity or lasting impact on speculative science fiction. Star Wars is much more along the lines of a sword and sandal, sword and sorcery or fantasy story than anything truly science fiction.
