Pro tip for Black Fag: Do pirating, fuck everything else. The main AssCreed gameplay is the toll you have to pay to make your ship better, the one thing anybody cares about in that game. And the shanties, of course.

I wish asscreed was more like hitman and less like asscreed. The stealth always feels so shallow in these games.

There's a market for this kind of game, just not one made by ubisoft's assembly line. It seems like ubisoft deliberately try to choose boring and shitty time periods for assassin games:

-italy is probably the most fitting one, but I didn't enjoy it much
-pirates are fun
-crusades is ok I guess

The rest are terrible though:

-america? What does burgerland have to do with assassins? Just an excuse to have ben franklin and his niggas in there
-irish assassin? fucking wot? why would you do this? Diversity quota? Oh and the setting is meriga again IIRC
-I said italy is fitting, but 3 fucking games of italy is shitty
-I don't even remember what unity was
-the next gen victorian one sounded like a cool idea but looks like ass in execution, with the zip-line being mandatory and all
-egypt is an ancient place so this is better than burgerland, but still not the best it could be imo
-Liberation was shitty burgerlands AGAIN, jesus christ

Why not super exotic places? Why not India? Why not China? Why not more middle east, y'know where the term "assassin" comes from? There are loads of interesting historical time periods and settings. Thailand? Korea? I could list off a series of mount and blade mods and you'd see better historical accuracy and more interesting settings.

Also the templar v assassin story is fucking retarded and needs to be killed.

Look up ASSassin Creed Chronicles (Fucking greed motivated spinoffing), it has 1526 Ming China, 1841 British India and 1918 Bolshevik Russia (part of it is the location the Romanovs where killed)

That chronicles asscreed game is a 2d game, basically an indie title. I mean a proper 3d asscreed in china or taiwan or some shit.

@rabidtictac Ubisoft is scared taking the risk. To an extent, it's like Burgerfield 1, which when it's not about black people, it's being told in such a way to explain it to average burgerland citizen. While I like most of the Assassin's Creed games, I can't deny most of them being a safe bet, even if ambitious in certain parts.

There are but I wouldn't call re-telling a really old tale about the first foreign samurai a spoiler. There aren't any plot twists or something except at the very end and that's really so silly you can disregard it.

I wasn't thinking about story too much, since I am certainly not expecting anything decent, more of the content and the whole premise, I don't want to have everything spoiled, I like to get into games knowing less about what I'm going to get content-wise, which means cool enemies, locations, etc.

There's not a super lot of variety in the game. It's set in Japan except for the very intro in England. The enemies are demons.
It's by Team Ninja. Imagine Ninja Gaiden with boss monsters and gameplay more like Bloodbourne. That's pretty much it.
I believe ban played Nioh so he may have more to say about it.

Nioh just got hyped because it wasnt on pc as a middlefinger from console peasants to pc gamers.
Its mediocre at best and once the pc crowd plays it that will be the average opinion on it.
