If you'd made the mistake as me (watching his stuff back in the day) you'd know that the first TMNT cartoon is the gold standard against which all other TMNT cartoons have to be measured.
Also he's almost as obsessed about the cartoon as he is about the Ghostbusters one. Or in a way even moreso considering that TMNT figures vastly outnumber his Ghostbusters bootleg in his epic toy reviews and storylines.

Mathew is complaining about Socialblade. Turns out he is not the first Filmbrain, the other one made his Twitter account in 2007. That does explain why Mathew couldn't use @Filmbrain for his Twitter account because somebody was already using it a year before Mathew would join TGWTG.

Decided to watch the video he's malding about and the guy doesn't recommend doing any of the things FilmBald is complaining about. Even the cyberpunk gamer lighting isn't present in the video, just the thumbnail. Instead he talks about more nerdy cinematography things like shot depth, symmetry, lighting, depth of field and experimenting with shots in general.

Incidentally, it's something FilmBald should be doing since he still sets up his shots like he's still on CA in 2009. Even, flat lighting in his bedroom sitting in front of a shelf full of DVDs and staring dead straight at the camera, occasionally cutting away for screenshots and trailer footage.
