That some people actually didn't visit their family or friends because of the coof is absolutely nuts to me.
They told us that if we did, mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa would all die.
In my case, everyone distanced from me because of my fragile health. My parents would deliver food to me once a week while masked and I never left my apartment.
After a month or two, I just cracked. I told everyone that I would rather take my chances and die than live in isolation for God Fauci knows how long. And so that was the end of that. Eventually my brother and dad got it and passed it on to me and I survived.
Doesn't Germany have 500,000 rapefugees like the rest of Europe?
You never see them in restaurants or even supermarkets. I've never even seen anyone at all at the container housings. You just see some walking around every once in a while.
I doubt it's much different in the big shithole cities. They are like background extras in movies.
108F (42c) today. Nearly 90 in the "cool" of the night. Not as bad as the heat dome we had a couple years ago (116), or the heat dome the southern US is/was suffering under this year. But still not great. Walking outside, it feels like a desert. Wind hits you in the face and at first, you might think it's slightly refreshing. "Oh hey, a cool breeze." Then the wind shifts and you get a warm blast of what feels like air from an open oven. Everything is dry to the bone outside. The local birds and critters were gathered around water bowls all day, or else hiding in shaded spots. It feels like nothing so much as walking through Baghdad. Or what I'd imagine that must feel like.
Hope everyone is staying safe in the heat. I know it's been bad all around the globe this year. No idea how Ban's been handling the record wildfires in Greece. Part of Hawaii recently burned up. An entire town is just gone.
