I will credit the actor who plays black Captain America, Anthony Mackie, for an insightful comment he made awhile back about Marvel and the state of the movie business:

There are no movie stars anymore. Like, Anthony Mackie isn’t a movie star, The Falcon is a movie star. And that’s what’s weird.
It used to be with Tom Cruise and Will Smith and Stallone and Schwarzenegger, when you went to the movies, you went to see the Stallone movie. Now you go to see…X-Men. So the evolution of the superhero has meant the death of the movie star. It’s just a different time now. Hollywood makes movies for specific audiences as opposed to just making good movies. And that’s why people stopped going to the movies, because most of the movies suck.

Careful with those thoughts, lest you anger The Mouse.

Re: Capeshit thread (comics and movies)
Actors used to NOT want to play comic book heroes because every actor who did struggled when they tried to do other things. Adam West. Lynda Carter. Christopher Reeve. Once you're a superhero in a movie or TV show, you're somehow identified as that forever.
The '89 "Batman" twisted that by convincing an already-popular actor (as opposed to the unknowns who played superheroes before) to take the part, but it looks like the old natural law of superhero actors still holds true. The dudes who played Captain America and Thor aren't exactly racking up hits outside of Marvel.

The name of their current Big Bad Guy is a bit unfortunate. Doubly so because they picked a black actor.

I'm not surprised nobody at Yidsney has a meme level high enough to recognize why that's funny.
