Even in the comics they have replaced him with his son, who is black and looks just like the Ultimate version (which in turn was the design they used for the movie version 'cause they've been copying Samuel from the start with this design). And unlike other cases where a capeshitter got a more diverse successor the previous *white* version ain't around. Dude just retired or something.

Par example - I grew up with the animated Justice League (still like that show tbh) - so me and my normie friends grew up thinking Green Lantern was black - and I guarantee people went into the 2011 movie, which turned out to be a gigantic failure, thinking something similar.

• If you have three leaders, you don't actually have any leaders. Just an elitist clique at best.
• That single Chinaman won't help your Chinese box office if you put him next to two black people.
• How many other MCU characters even know of Shang-Chi? What has he actually done to get their attention? Dude's accomplishments are downright pedestrian compared to how everyone else saves the entire multiverse every other week.
• Making him leader of a large international organization is probably not good timing in light of more and more news articles about how the CCP has literally taken over the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
