VB is Australia's local pisswater of choice but I don't know of anyone under 50 that actually drinks it anymore, it's become a meme beer that only bogans drink. No idea. I do know a lot of normalfags drink beer that I consider substandard. I assume because they hold certain wrong ideas based on habits they've formed. They probably grew up drinking shit beer and they assume that all beer is supposed to taste that way. Or maybe they believe that beer exists to get you drunk/buzzed, so the taste doesn't matter. Maybe they think it's like vodka (it isn't.)

All I know is that I've seen plenty of men aged 20-40 walking up to the checkout with a crate of absolute garbage in their cart. Those macro adjunct lagers still make sales around here. Don't know about Bud specifically though. Butt Light and Swiller certainly seem like boomer brands to me.

With how prices have gone up for everything where I live, there's no difference in price between shitwater pissbeer and a proper beverage. So it's probably down to consumer habits.

I DID notice that my local stores' beer sections are full of micro brews. Stores are stocking more micro brews compared to ten years ago. Micro brews are different kind of bad/mediocre that I don't want to get into now though.
