Re: Russia
Any Russian missile hitting Moldova is a Russian missile that won't hit Ukraine.

Re: Russia
Sounds like it'll soon be part of Russia. Moldova also is not a NATO member, therefore Russia can take them as well.Which countries recognize Transnistria?
Although Transnistria declared independence in 1990, no United Nations member recognises its sovereignty and the region is considered by the UN to be part of Moldova. As of 2011, only Abkhazia, the Republic of Artsakh and South Ossetia recognise its independence, all themselves states with limited recognition.

Re: Russia
Kinda settles the question about how sincere Putin's excuses about muh NATO and muh denazification were. It is just a simple land grab after all, as if there was any doubt to begin with if you choose to treat Putin with the same kind of healthy cynicism you'd treat Brandon or any other world leader.

Re: Russia
I mean, everyone who wasn't the token russian shill knew Putin had no intention of stopping. I can buy the argument that he won't move against NATO because that would mean MAD, but he's free to take any other place.

Re: Russia
Russians use "Nazi" in a similar way to how some Westerners use terms like "Terf" or "alt-right". It all serves to dehumanize the opposition so your thugs feel less remorse from murdering them.

Re: Russia
Not really, seeing as he hasn't moved to take over anything yet. What the Ukrainians are doing in Transnistria is a feint to draw the Russians there and away from their forces in the Donbass, where the Ukrainians are getting slaughtered.
You're not really asking why Putin would go to the trouble of opening another front
Not necessarily. He could probably get away with attacking Poland.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 1:35 pmI can buy the argument that he won't move against NATO because that would mean MAD
See, a lot of people think that Article 5 means that it's automatically World War III if, say, Russia attacks a NATO country. But Article 1 stipulates that member states have to try to resolve disputes with non-member states by peaceful means. You can't provoke non-member states into conflict. Poland has sent Ukraine weapons and I believe they've even sent men in to fight in Ukraine. So, if Russia were to attack them, the other member states would probably successfully weasel out of their Article 5 commitments on the basis that Poland kind of provoked the Russians first. Of course, they're all doing it and the only reason it isn't acknowledged that NATO and the Pentagon are basically running things in Ukraine is, well, potential World War III
Which brings me to another point which is that if it ever really came down to it, the rules would go right out the window. It's every man for himself.
Yeah, it has nothing at all to do with the fact that Ukraine has deep seated Nazi roots and Western media can't get a single picture of Ukrainian forces without at least one soldier wearing Nazi symbolsVoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 3:03 pmRussians use "Nazi" in a similar way to how some Westerners use terms like "Terf" or "alt-right". He's already been sanctioned to Kingdom Come, so it's not like the West can do anything more to him.

Re: Russia
Also known as "February 23, 2022". No, comrade, there's no invasion in the horizon, see? Do not mind these TikTok videos of armored columns being transferred by train to the border, that's CIA disinformation. Vladmir Putin held talks with European leaders and he has not taken Ukraaaand it's gone.
Have you already conveniently forgot that BieloPutin kinda spilled the beans about the Russian intentions back in March?
