It really depends if you deserve it or not. Imagine being a lazy bum who barely does the minimum and ask for a raise. Come to think of it, if I'm not mistaken, Spoony tried that with Channel Awesome (his "official" excuse to quit Doge was that he wasn't getting a bigger cut of revenue, despite barely making one bideo a month at the time To Boldy Flee happened).

Although usually the best way to get a raise is to quit your job for a better-paying one. I never needed to ask for a raise; either I got by my employers' own volition because they didn't want to lose me, or I quit to get a better overall one.

Speaking on the Japan thing I think that brings up a really good point. We love Japanese shit but Japan will always hate us for not being Japanese. I'm fine with that. I don't care if they hate me. So blacks should have the same mindset then. That they can love everything white people have done for them but just realize that we will always hate them, and that it's okay for them to enjoy our stuff while we hate them. That is how real world peace can be achieved.
