Yeah but you know just as well as I do that that's not how it works in German. The royal plural is just way too embedded to get another meaning, just as the singular they, which would just be "Sie" like for absolutely everyone else, is.

What are they going to say? It's the same pronoun but just means something else? German is too strict and specific for it. Don't think it wasn't tried. It just didn't work out.

Apparently there are plans to declare the late 19th / early 20th century Reichsflagge (black, white and red) haram, as it has long been used by right-wingers as a replacement for the already haram nazi flags.
