There is no point in fucking with Cuba any more. All the resources we used to get from them we get from other countries and their strategic importance in a nuclear conflict is lessened ever since their friends, the Soviet Union, went and collapsed. In short, the only way you can be sure you're getting genuine Cuban cigars is to actually go to Cuba.

Or you just looks at the customs seal on an unopened box. It'd likely be more difficult and often is to get non-Cuban cigars exactly because those mostly go to the USA.
I know for a fact that top non-Cuban brands are regularly sold out for that reason.
