Nobody knows anything. That's been the take-away for me from the entire covid debacle. Everyone says x person (usually a conservative) should have handled covid better, but you know where the covid response has been absolute dogshit? Liberal-run cities. You still can't get a vaccine in Oregon. Old people have to have their children wait in virtual lines on the broken-ass websites for hours, just to schedule an appointment to go wait for eight hours for a shot. You think I'm exaggerating, but I'm really not.

Fauci says double-masking is stupid and then says double-masking is just common sense. The vaccine will prevent you from getting covid but you won't be allowed to go outside, attend gatherings, be without a mask or change anything about your life for the better.

I don't think it really happened in Italy, either. All those photos you saw of people sitting outside because the hospitals were supposedly full were actually from somewhere else, somewhere where they'd had an earthquake and obviously it wasn't safe for the patients to go inside

It's incredible that, even at this late date, you are this naive. They don't want the numbers to go down. They're not interested in the numbers going down, that's why they cook them. They want the numbers to go up so they can have a permanent pandemic, with permanent restrictions and permanent emergency powers for all the globalist parasites running this shitshow.

Where I live they want everybody to get a covid test every other week. Completely optional, of course. But the only reason you'd do this, test people who aren't showing symptoms, given the unreliability of PCR testing, is to build the case numbers back up to justify further restrictions.

These people are sick and they're absolutely not interested in the pandemic ending so they can give up their power.

The pandemic numbers will naturally go down after the virus complete its natural cycle. If the look at the Spanish Flu, we still have around 6 to 12 months of this nonsense, but the virus itself will be mostly gone after that. Expect a third wave, however, which in theory will be weaker than the second one (Spanish Flu's second wave was the strongest and deadlier wave; the third one, not so much).

The political usage of the virus, however, will continue way after the virus itself go away.

They didn't quarantine healthy people in their homes with the Spanish flu. It was also a lot more potent, although exactly how potent is somewhat difficult to determine, seeing as what killed most people wasn't the flu itself but poor hygiene, cramming people into hospital wards and poor nutrition. In any case, all of these things contributed to a shorter lifespan for the virus. If you look at Ebola, because Ebola kills 50% of the infected, Ebola outbreaks tend to be short lived.

This is a weak virus. It's treatable, and their constant rinse-repeat cycle of lockdowns, easing restrictions and then more lockdowns guarantees that we will never reach herd immunity and big outbreaks are more delayed than prevented. They've got the pretext to keep this going forever, and that's not even getting into the idea that there doesn't actually have to be a virus for there to be a pandemic
