As for JL, I never saw either version. I doubt I would like either one.

Whedon seems to be innocent in this case. But I sure as fuck won't be speaking out in support of him. This is karma, IMHO.

1. He did a shit job at what he was paid to do, the tones a mess and the characters feel like cardboard cutouts *even for capeshit* (emphasis there). Fisher fucked himself and was a dick but he is at least right to say he is better in the Snyder Cut.
2. There is a huge gulf with regard to talent between the people who became well known for being controlling and egotistical directing movies, and Joss fucking Whedon.
If Stanley Kubrick or William Friedkin or Akira Kurosawa directed Justice League - I’d be saying they should suck it up, but Whedon is a studio hack if ever there was one.
Nolan’s controlling and has shit he wants to do, but I’m not convinced even he is this much of a prick.

So? His Avengers made billions of dollars. Warners have brought him on because of his 'expertise'. As much as I dislike the man, and agree that he's a hack, he's not wrong to think he knows better than some actress who hasn't so much as written or directed a TV commercial

He's already working on Black Buffy. The fact that only people he fired or whose role he reduced are coming out against him shows this is bullshit. He still made the best MCU Avengers movie, and as bad as Josstice League is, it's only half as long as the Snyder Cut which is the exact same movie stretched out for eternity with worse music and a bunch of unnecessary scenes.

They also kicked him off The Nevers, that HBO show that seems to just be a Victorian X-Men. Maybe he's done, maybe he isn't.
