Its got some great gore. The actor who plays his son is a bit iffy but Kirk Douglas is near perfect. Good score, too. It was John Williams fresh off Star Wars.

The Fury is awesome. A creepy, gritty vibe with a streak of humor. Also greatest ending to any movie. You'll see.

I saw the 1963 Pink Panther. Could've been a half-hour shorter, but otherwise it was a good enough time. Amusingly, I felt that just about everyone stole the show *except* for Peter Sellers. Maybe I'm just not into his brand of humor or he evolves in later films. David Niven's boundless charisma was definitely the high point of this film.

New Saw trailer looks like shit. Jigsaw was bad too, but they at least had Tobin Bell to give us a few minutes of classic Saw. This one pretty much seems to have two choices to redeem itself:
A - They somehow get Tobin back, and it's gonna be even more contrived.
B - Samuel L Jackson is Jigsaw.

Any alternative and this movie has automatically failed.

It's subtitled "From the Book of Saw" which is gay but seems like it's an honest spinoff. So SLJ is likely the killer.

I liked Jigsaw, so if there's a hot white girl in this one I'll probably like it too. (Jigsaw's the only one I've seen.)

I doubt I'll like it - but I like Sam Jackson and I like it when he can make material work, even when the movie sucks.

He was the best part of Captain Mediocre.
