Release the Garbage Cut
Re: Release the Garbage Cut
Oh it's total shit. I appreciate the fact it tried to set itself apart from the cookie cutter Marvel movies but Hack Snyder couldn't even be bothered to answer the questions his own film raised and failed to pay off Terrio's set-ups. That's how we end up with shit like EisenLex threatening the Man of Steel with a fucking egg timer.

I'm not even sure if Supes had an actual gripe with Batman. Bruce just went a bit nuts when someone with actual super powers showed up.

TO be completely fair, BvS did start with Bruce Wayne watching the public reenactment of the Saiyan Saga in person, with his company's building used like a piñata and his employees as the flying candy.

Re: Release the Garbage Cut
Also, there was an easy way to differentiate themselves from Marvel: Don't write Whedon-esque dialogue. No jokey quippy sarcastic shit in every other line. Having everything being bleak and dark when you're the company with the bright happy brightly colored heroes is ludicrous.
I think the reason why people liked Ant-Man so much from the Marvel side is because Edgar Wright's dialogue is like breathing clean air after being stuck in a mine. James Gunn's dialogue is just... MORE Whedon-esque everyone quippy sarcastic shit.

Topic review
Ok. So retards are putting up shitty side by side comparison clips between both cuts and I am not impressed especially after seeing Batman and Flash first meet. The cock gobblers always focus on the brunch line in Whedon's cut which while stupid doesn't make the scene drag on. Whedon's has more dialog but it feels it moves faster. Especially dur to the amount of slow motion in the Snyder Cut. You didn't need that much to prove that Flash is that fast.

Re: Release the Garbage Cut
Oh yeah. The Whedon scene is shorter, even with the Whedon talk about Brunch.
It's not fair either, that comparison. They should've started it when Barry came in under the fence. There's
1) an added cut of Barry unlocking the doors
2) an added cut of Barry taking a fuse
3) plugging the fuse into the fuse box
Snyder chose to linger on some shots an extra half to full second as well. These additional seconds add up quick.

Re: Release the Garbage Cut
And even the dialog looks to be worse. The scene where Wonder Woman and Stephenwolf fight especially. After Wonder Woman beats up a bunch of Parademons, Stephenwolf says "Steps Aside, she's mine". In the Whedon cut, she replies "You overestimate yourself". In the Snyder Cut, she says "I belong to no one".
I swear if someone showed me both clips and didn't say which was which cut, I would have sworn that I belong to no one line was in Whedon's cut due to how stupid that line is and doesn't make sense in context. It sounds like a "I am woman, hear me roar" line. It's unbelievable that Whedon, the male feminist, even understood that line was stupid and changed it. It wasn't as if Stephenwolf said bow down to me or that I will enslave you as I will the Earth. It was just him saying I can beat her one on one. I swear that line was added to make her sound edgy and bad ass but no understanding of what works.

Re: Release the Garbage Cut
Oh, I think Steppenwolf's "My axe is still slick with your sisters' blood" was way better than... whatever the hell he said in Snyder's cut.
In the Snyder Cut, The Flash is leading the scientists up a stairwell, and he's doing it in a very.... jokey manner? Doesn't really touch on him being a non-combatant and not sure of himself in a fight either. The Whedon cut has "Save one".
Whedon's changes add humanity to the film, something this film needed BADLY.

Re: Release the Garbage Cut
Yeah Bats' motivation is set up quite nicely. Supes not so much, especially when he's twice as brutal as any other "hero," showcasing yet another one of Snyder's problems - the fact that he doesn't know the meaning of the word restraint. Superman whines about snivel rights after he puts a black dude thru multiple walls. Wonder Woman blows up half a building to stop terrorists from bombing the same building. The shit's almost Naked Gun levels of parody.BenComicGraphics wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 9:40 pmTO be completely fair, BvS did start with Bruce Wayne watching the public reenactment of the Saiyan Saga in person, with his company's building used like a piñata and his employees as the flying candy.

Overrated POS. The effects were awful even by 2000 standards and Ridley Scott completely butchered Marcus Aurelius.
Still better than anything in the MCU.
Like whales being raped by a garbage disposal. The kind of noises that pig Riley Reid probably makes when disgracing her father with the local homeboys.
Starts at 2:02. According to clips and reviews, this wailing shit plays every time Wonder Woman appears. Thanks Hans Zimmer and your gay protégé.
