I just saw the clip and WOW, it's awkward. The stream is a bunch of people I've never heard of and then you can see them all deflate when King Snyder disavows within seconds of coming on.

EVS was annoyed that no one there challenged him. They were all starstruck and just took their beating.

Snyder’s fans campaigned to get a directors cut, he got one and it worked out for everyone except Joss Whedon.

I've seen some people try to defend Snyder saying he has a speech thing where he unintentionally combines two thoughts together, so he was just doing a standard disclaimer followed by a thought about the recent Asian crimes (his dead daughter was Asian) and it came out jumbled. I don't buy it but I haven't seen him speak enough to contradict it.

It was a shit thing to do, regardless of what you think about G&G and the other anti-SJW "grifters". He lumped them in with a murderer because they don't like shitty woke Star Wars movies.

The Snyder thing was minor compared to Jeremy's meltdown afterward. Dude went on Ethan Van Sciver's stream and was getting heated because everybody was trying to get him to calm down and stop acting like a spaz.

The Snyder Cut itself is...a lot better than the original Justice League. I think the only thing I preferred about Whedon's version were some parts with Superman near the end where Cavill got to channel Christopher Reeve some.
I'm inclined to call it his second good movie, although its not a great one. There's some genuinely emotional moments, some nice thematic connections to Snyder grieving his daughter - and the action scenes are all propulsive, well choreographed and memorable.
The biggest issue with it is the same problem with all fucking capeshit - and that's its teasing sequels, which, especially in this case, may never see the light of day. It seems like Snyder is attempting some sort of 4D chess, he's doing interviews, talking about what he wanted to do for the other two parts of what was apparently a planned trilogy - get the same people that complained about the Snyder cut upset that its not happening, and then take that to Warners to force their hand. Honestly, I'm somewhat interested in more - the fact that he actually made a good movie is that shocking.
Its not Bergman, I'm not sure its even great capeshit, but the action is great, its got some good characterization (Ray Fisher's Cyborg takes the cake for most improved, his characterization in this is vastly superior to Whedon's), and I don't think I was ever bored over four fucking hours. Man of Steel and BvS were each like two and a half hours and those movies were boring as shit, but this just works.
