Snyder JL ends on a "massive cliffhanger" that introduces Green Lantern and sets up two more movies with the heroes traveling to another planet to fight Darkseid.

I am sure those plot threads will be followed up just like the Deathstroke reveal at the end of the other cut was.

Not that it matters. It'll be shit anyways, and they'll never make enough GL movies to get this cosmic capeshit ball rolling (so they'll probably try to cram in those famous big fuck-off GL storylines way too early, like they did with the Death of Superman).

They will probably rewrite his military background. Being a soldier is almost as bad as being a cop, after all.
I could also imagine that they'll ignore all the wonders of possibilities of the entire DC universe in favor of bringing up racism and white supremacy. That's pretty much what Dr. Who(ke) is doing these days (making pretty much every episode about colonialism and/or white supremacy despite the fact that the Doctor has all of time and space to have adventures in)..

Last I heard, the cut footage had been stored in a fucking salt mine and as a result was totally unusable. Shout Factory just announced that they're working on a collector's edition release and are trying to track down other copies of the cut footage. If they fail to turn anything up, then I think it's safe to say we'll never see a director's cut of it.

Yeah, it's a real shame. It's still a great movie but it has obviously been butchered quite a bit for ratings. I still hope at least something happens in that regard.

There is a rough cut cut pre-studio meddling on VHS. We'll never see it but it does exist.
