Re: Weather
I used to rely on wind turbines when just starting a new city in Cities Skylines, because they don't generate ground pollution and they're cheaper than the coal power plant - the logic behind it being that it would be easier to keep adding more wind turbines as the city grows than just pay upfront for a bunch of power that will take a while to use. But they end up being expensive as fuck and tend to underperform so much that you need to keep adding more and more turbines to have a decent surplus of power enough to support a modest-sized city expansion, so I stopped caring about the wind turbines and now I always use coal > oil > some sort of futuristic eco-friendly power plant that only exists in the game, like the solar updraft tower.
Keep in mind Cities Skylines is developed by some eco-friendly faggots from Finland or whatever, and even them couldn't make wind power attractive.

He just didn't take climate change seriously enough (we've all seen The Day after Tomorrow, right?)rabidtictac wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 9:45 am(You just know that if Trump was president still, the media would be falling over themselves to blame the ice storm on him SOMEhow.)
My most eco-friendly setup in the superior Sim City 2000 involved building little dirt pyramids with waterfalls on every side for that hydro-electric goodness.Le Redditeur wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 2:16 pmKeep in mind Cities Skylines is developed by some eco-friendly faggots from Finland or whatever, and even them couldn't make wind power attractive.
I also put a single windmill at the top of the pyramid because why not?

Re: Weather
All the snow is gone, most of the ice is as well. We have a very mild 5°C that'll rise to 15°C. It even smells like spring.
I was hoping for a bit more winter. It might get colder again for a while but so far it looks like winter is done.
