You see, Tremors is actually a deep character study of a gun fanatic. Nolan with his Dark Knight trilogy is a hack writer in comparison.

More movie franchises should try taking themselves less seriously. I fucking love the pace of Tremors movies. It starts off, there's a monster attack, they call Burt, the rest writes itself with just a touch of imagination. They never waste time with these or try to be any more meaningful than they have to be to care about the characters.

Where did it lose you? I like the first one and the second is an alright follow up, but after that it goes from weak attempts to flat out silly shit, the video game focused one being a great example.

I really liked the first two and then it started to slip. If I remember correctly, the third one was at least fun in the schlock kinda way. From then it just gets worse and worse.

He's talking about Hellraiser. And yeah, I concur on that, except that I think even Hellraiser 2 shit the bed. It made no sense whatsoever and got by solely on its visuals and atmosphere. Like, the fucking thing is supposed to take place a day later and yet Julia has gone from a whimpy submissive to queen bitch of Hell? And who cares, anyway? This is the one time they should've NOT brought back the original protagonist, but just moved onto the temptations of a new family.

Hellraiser 3 is only watchable because it's the one where Bradley hams it up.

EDIT: I only just now noticed that Hellraiser and Tremors both have a film called Bloodline. Well, Bloodline and Bloodlines.
