I get why they want Stadia to succeed, as it would be perfect for the "you own nothing and you're happy" Great Reset crowd, but according to that video it's just not workable. Even with the highest internet speed it's unplayable, crashy, and looks like hot garbage compared to console and PC. Doom looks like it moves at 5 FPS and you can't even do basic jumps because of laggy imput.

Internet speeds are just not there yet, not to mention for fighting games you need as few frames of delay as possible. Great reset will have to wait until 2027 for the newest generation.

I find it kinda funny that the service eats up bandwith like crazy even on small games, and that fluctuations in your internet connection results in audio hiccups. Even fans of muh precious walking sims should hate that latter part.

Apparently when you use it in the current state, you are advised to turn everything off that also uses the connection, which includes VOIP phones and what not.
This reminds me of the dark tymes of.. the MODEM! when you couldn't make calls while interwebzing.

Probably not a diversity hire, but likely Phil Harrison. This guy was involved in the PS3 launch with the $599 meme and "rumble is a last gen feature", the Xbone launch with it's always online shit and now this. Hilariously shitty console launches are his specialty.
