So yeah, by famous executives (((J.J. Abrams))) and (((Jordan Peele))) comes the adaptations of a book called Lovecraft Country that features an all black family in the 1950s battling true cosmic horrors. The shoggoths.

I'm kidding of course, they obviously fight whitey and his constant racism against dem gud bois who dindu muffins and they occasionaly kick the ass of some cosmic entity. After 95% of the episode is used to preach about how utterly oppressed the blacks were during the 50s and how super evil whitey totally is. Of and of course, here's how they sell the TV show and the book :

My friend is a diehard Lovecraft fan and historian and is currently hate watching this show. From what I’ve seen it’s insufferable garbage. I love seeing all of these danger hair freaks walking around in “muh Kutulu!” merch and buying pop vinyls while reeing that a long since dead man who made little off his inspirations work, lived a sad and cloistered life, and even softened up on his hard views should be erased from history. It’s a contraction.

Fuck Jordan Peele, he’s a racebaiting halfbreed piece of egotistical shit, I’m sick of seeing his name plastered everywhere due to white guilt. The message is that racism is bad, mm'kay, and white people need to hold up a mirror to themselves and realize how bad they are and how they should be finger shamed.

Of course, this couldn't--or shouldn't--have been more than a one shot, even if this were the aim. If you make a series of out if, even a mini-series, you have to have something happen. This means either:

A. The whites end up fighting for equality and make some blacks sympathetic while others seem violent and stubborn.

or B. The blacks feel love for their fellow white and end up putting their lives at risk to lift them up.

Neither of which is going to be very receptive to the current BLM mood of the times right now.


There's a reason why leftists tend to fall in love with Jim Crow era and traditional antebellum movies (and not just because they are fetish fantasies for them). It because they can constantly view themselves as perpetually struggling victims. Give them anything where they have any sort of power or responsibility and they get immediately repulsed.

First of all...ignoring how exactly Africa DID conquer the west...which culture is dominant? Since you actually have to base your un-reality on SOME sort of common historical deviation point (especially since buses and buildings look to have similar world influences), common sense dictates that it would be in the Mesopotamic region. North Africa or Egypt most likely (MAYBE Ethiopia); these are the only ones that make the most sense, given the architectural and cultural origins that you would find (most advanced, had shit like 'wheels' and so on). There's no way any other culture could have organized itself out of the jungle on its own without having knowledge of things like mining metals, or even fucking farming. Even the Zimbabwe city was just stones stuck together. No actual masonry or construction techniques.

So I'm sure both Mediterranean African countries would absolutely treat their suothern darker skinned cousins as equals, given how they had a documented preference for lighter skin akin to godhood. Since they also enslaved certain groups in their castes...that would also be a problem.

If they did conquer the world, then you run into more questions than just architecture. For example: religion. Would they all still believe in the old gods. Did black Jesus get born in Tunisia? Did they still get into holy wars with African Mohammad? Then there's culture. You see them doing a Zulu dance in the trailer or whatever. Do they incorporate customs of any of their conquered people? Is the show going to insist they all have one world government, or is it possible that a group of people stretched all overthe globe would form their own nations and identity. Black vikings? Do they have a black Cosa Nostra? Black Bastille day?

Did they also extend their influence over the middle east, India and the rest of Asia? What about the Native Americans (now I'd actually pay to see those scenes)?
Do they have myths about the black Illiad and Odyssey? Did they have a black Hitler and fight a black WWII, where in the modern era whites can call them Nazis?

The problem with shows like this is that they become far more intriguing for reasons other than they were intended to be. And thus get shut down.
