Its not that uncommon for public figures to hide that they have cancer, like David Bower or the Nintendo man. Then agar AFAIK the official stories for both weren't that they had cancer of the ass.

That might be an actual improvement, so highly unlikely.
Besides, common Marvel capeshitter replacement doctrine dictates that the replacement has to be more female and/or ethnic. Seeing how BP has already been black, BP 2: Wakanda Boogaloo can only ever be female.

Apparently they were already going to replace him with the annoying racist doctor sister who calls white people colonizers because he was tired of playing the character (probably because he was dying). It's just another example of unnecessary canon infecting shit like Bond. For fuck sake, just recast the fucking character like normal people. We don't want Black Captain America, we want Steve Rogers. We don't want Iron Ri Ri, we want the drunken billionaire playboy Tony Stark. Just reboot shit like you fucking used to. Apparently Black Widow is getting replaced by another Russian chick. We'll probably see Hawkeye get replaced by his daughter or something because we briefly saw him teaching her how to shoot.
