I disagree - he's far more likely to lose if he picks someone that can't keep it together. An eloquent veep who comes off well allows him to make less media appearances - and, at least right now, not appearing in the media is working pretty well for Biden, once he has to turn up in public, Trump's numbers are going to go up.

If I were to recommend someone off of his VP shortlist that could best do that - it'd be someone like Duckworth or Demings, not Harris, not Warren.

Let Biden stay where he is. Biden staying silent and staying in his basement while far-leftist mobs attempt to riot, loot and burn the United States to the ground is not helping him in any way. If anything, Biden staying silent allows Trump to play the patriotism card and wave the flag, which is going to play well with centrist voters who might have naively thought they could look to Biden for strength.

Yup. Nine times out of ten, the "MUH WAR HERO" card is a cheap tactic used to support someone who is otherwise unsupportable. I mean, look at how every time that festering sack of shit John McCain attacked Trump, establishment politicians from both sides of the aisle loved to blather about McCain's "war hero" status to distract from the fact that he was a monumentally terrible politician.

Trump's down in all the swing states right now, some by wide margins, so what you're suggesting isn't working - so I would argue getting Biden out to say stupid shit is the best course of action. The last time Trump got a bump was when Biden made his "you aint black" comments.

Of course, Biden having to come out is almost an inevitability anyway - so the fall will probably be the time to close the gap and take the lead.

McCain mostly lost because of W's low approval rating and picking Palin as VP - a service record is still a good trump card.
