I didn't play pc games as a wee lad because our PCs were always too shitty. So I didn't play Fallout 1 and 2. But Fallout 3 is garbage. I like New Vegas, but it has some serious shortcomings. Most notable being enemies don't respawn and the game is a lot more linear than it seems to be. NV was probably my favorite 360 game for a long time, but better games came out later. Fallout 4 looks like complete cancer.

New Vegas is one of those games like Skyrim that I associate with mindless "follow the marker" gaming. The kind of thing where you turn your brain off completely and run around doing shit while listening to a podcast or videos.

Old Call of Doodoo games were good, just like Medal of Honor series. But I don't think anybody argues about the declining quality ever since Modern Warfare 2 came out, until they quickly hit the rock bottom with MW3 and Black face, or whatever that was called. Currently, they're trying WW2 again, but it seems like the same shit again. Coming back to roots, bullshit. It's nothing like the old games, they're just desperate to sell more copies and not kill the franchise with their incompetence.

Seems like COD: WWII is trying to be the "Farce Awakens" of the COD franchise; it's trying to bring back the nostalgia of ye olden days of the series despite still being an empty shell.

I don't know about that. Even the people who still play the games usually don't claim that they are fantastic and for the last couple of entries the series has fallen out of favour with many. Meanwhile, the Falloutfags, especially the new ones, are throwing superlatives left and right for that shitshow of a series.

Fallout 1&2 are more like underrated. Too many people just assume they are primitive/unsophisticated versions of their sequels without actually playing them. Norah Cuntwhiner got burned because of that.

For the most part, that's what most western RPGs are now. Bethesda just make Oblivion a million fucking times. Skyrim was just Oblivion with better visuals, slightly better combat and some other improved shit. Fallout 3 is Oblivion in the post-apocalypse.

Supposedly Morrowind was an actually good game, but every time I see gameplay footage of it, I wonder what kind of ants are supposed to be reading all those paragraphs of conversation.

Anyway, Oblivion was fucking trash and every Bethesda game after had more of a relation to it than anything else. Enemies scale to your level, dungeons are all samey and shitty (Fallout 3 and NV have this problem too,) combat is shit, enemy variety is paltry and pretty boring, weapons look and feel like trash, armor sets are generally poor to look at, the combat engine always has some annoying stop-start pseudo turn-based bullshit going on (like Skyrim letting you spam potions while time is stopped in menus, or VATS trivializing the game in Fallout 3,) and the characters are super fucking bland Bethesda-generic fantasy questgivers.

I swear, a lot of the shit in Skyrim is like a fucking MMO. Go collect bear pelts for some bitch. Go get ice crystals by killing wraiths. I misplaced my condoms-go get me some by stealing them from the Jarl's dresser drawer.

The guild missions are pretty much the only part of both Oblivion and Skyrim that I enjoyed. The Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion is about the only part of that game I remember.
